--------------------------------------Writ Large Fonts
is a micro-foundry located in Los Angeles, California. Our focus is on novel, high-quality fonts. We create bespoke fonts for a variety of interests - contact us if you have a specific typeface need. We would be happy to discuss ideas with you!Circuits Circuits
is inspired by the printed circuits boards of the twentieth century. Its default character set suggests commercially manufactured circuits while the OpenType alternates give more of a home-brew feel.
The font is ideal for technical decorative titles in subjects as diverse as computers, techno music, ham radio, or "maker"-culture communications. It works well in large-type posters, logotypes, video games, album covers, or advertising.
The OpenType font contains nearly 100 discretionary ligatures to give a varied appearance, along with several alternate cuts of common characters and ten electrical components (accessible as OpenType stylistic alternates).Entangle Mental
is designed for titles or other decoration where you need a viney feel. Equally at home in an Edward Gorey-esque Victorian ruin or a casual vinicultural brochure, Entangle Mental is loaded with tendrilly goodness. The font has numerous OpenType features, and comes in both a regular and light weight.Lunatrix
is a conceptual type face for futuristic or fantastic treatments. Ideal for suggesting strange new worlds of science-fiction, it can also evoke a land of fantasy or even hint at the occult.
In its lighter weights, Lunatrix is well suited for applications such as posters, album covers, video games, and graphic novels, while in its heavier weights, it’s appropriate for titling and more complex type treatments.

is a typographic flashback to computing of the mid 1980s, when 9-pin dot-matrix printers were the state of the art, and most home computer displays were TVs hooked up to RF modulators. Rasteroids not only captures the dot-matrix printer look, but recreates the rasterized appearance of text on those lower-resolution monitors. The font comprises three families: a variable-width version, a monospaced version, and an old-style, descenderless version.

is a typographic flashback to computing of the mid 1980s, when 9-pin dot-matrix printers were the state of the art, and most home computer displays were TVs hooked up to RF modulators. Rasteroids not only captures the dot-matrix printer look, but recreates the rasterized appearance of text on those lower-resolution monitors.
Because of its fixed character width, Rasteroids Monospace is intended for use in accents or small areas of copy rather than long documents.

is a typographic flashback to computing of the early 1980s, when 7-pin dot-matrix printers were the state of the art, and most home computer displays were TVs hooked up to RF modulators. Rasteroids Old not only captures the dot-matrix printer look, but recreates the rasterized appearance of text on those lower-resolution monitors.
Rasteroids Old is a fixed width font lacking any descenders. Furthermore, the character set is limited to the subset of US-ASCII that would be available on a typical machine of 1980. As such, it is not intended for large areas of copy. The Royal Flutter
family of fonts was created for Archie's Garden, a Monarch Butterfly garden/preserve in Southern California. You can read more about the garden, monarch butterflies, their lifecycle, and more.Scrawl My Children
is a warm, casual handwriting-style font that is ideal for quick notes, informal invitations, or even labeling doodles. It has a full set of characters and punctuation, and includes accents.Scribble Flinger
(version 2) is a font that can be as dirty or as refined as you want.
Normally, Scribble Flinger is a blend of gracious style and scribbled haste, perfect for something that needs to be elegant in an off-hand way. Turn on the OpenType "contextual alternate" option, however, and the font goes grunge: stains, smudges, and ink spatters. It's your choice - this versatile font can do whatever you want!
