finalRender 3.5 is targeted to the mainstream user base, while
finalRender 3.5 SE (Studio Edition) is the perfect choice for bigger production houses and advanced users, seeking the maximum in quality and flexibility. Both products use the same rock solid Hollywood production-proven rendering core and produce the same rendering results (when not using any of the advanced features of 3.5 SE). A complementary copy of finalToon 3.5 is included with a purchase of either finalRender 3.5 or finalRender 3.5 SE. finalToon is a full blown True Line Renderer (TLR), with unparalleled line quality and rendering speed.
With 3D Camera, developed for and first used in "Alice in Wonderland", this advanced, versatile true 3D stereo camera tool is now available to the general finalRender user.
In making the powerful and comprehensive finalToon, ScatterTool, and OceanShader tools integral parts of the new release, finalRender 3.5 offers excellent value compared with other offerings. Also, pyroCluster is now part of finalRender 3.5 SE at no extra cost.
finalToon, being a TLR (true line renderer) doesn't mean that finalToon has to replace your favorite renderer to do shading or other special effects. finalToon is implemented as a true 3ds max Render Effect, and so you can enjoy all the great benefits of such an implementation. You may adjust line styles in realtime without the need to re-render the whole scene over and over again.
All shading and rendering can be done with the production proven 3ds Max scanline renderer. When the scanline pass is done, the finalToon line renderer pops in and takes over to produce the NPR line rendering part. As mentioned before, any fully integrated 3ds Max compatible renderer can be used for the rendering and shading pass. However, when used in concert with finalRender 3.5 outline rendering becomes something else - finalToon shines at its best and shows a dramatic speed increase.

What`s new:- Rectangular Light: Shadows in realistic decay mode are now improved allowing the shadow of the rectangular light to provide scenes that
are closer to real world effects.
- Adaptive QMC Global Illumination Engine is enhanced for a better performance with DR (Distributed Rendering) when rendering the same
frame on multiple PCs.
- Adaptive QMC Global Illumination Engine is modified to avoid creating defective solution files with DR upon rendering. The solution
files are global illumination cache files, which store the global illumination of a scene and can then be used to speed up rendering or to
avoid flickering in animations.
- HarmonicsGI has been enhanced and optmized as well to properly support distributed network rendering (DR).
- Reported artifacts in caused by HarmonicsGI and rendering with DR have been isolated and solved.
- Render Elements now offer a new feature "Include Atmospherics" controlling where Alpha from the Volumetric Light (atmospherics) can be
applied in the Alpha Render Element through an optional switch.
- Exclude/Include lists for objects within Render Elements is now properly supported when rendering with DR. Users can exclude unwanted
objects from their scenes/images on multiple machines with no occurring faults or errors.
- fR Advanced Material now has a reflect/refract material ID option feature.
- A reflect/refract material ID option has alos been added in fR Architectural material.
The ID can now be reflected in a mirror as well as refracted in glass when an object is seen in a mirror or through a glass.
- finalToon no longer faces technical issues when a finalRender proxy is used in a scene.
- finalToon now properly generates lines and toon effects for fR proxy objects.
- finalToon Problems with camera clipping planes are fixed and capable of producing accurate results.
