finalRender 3.5 представляет собой плагин визуализации для 3ds Max 2009-2011 и 3ds Max Design 2009-2011. Стандартная версия ориентирована на базовый контингент пользователей, а finalRender 3.5 SE (Studio Edition) является отличным выбором для продвинутых пользователей и крупных производственных фирм, ищущих максимального качества и гибкости. Обе версии используют ядро твердотельной визуализации, проверенное Голливудом (в 'Alice in Wonderland'), и дают одинаковые результаты визуализации (без использования дополнительных возможностей 3.5 SE). В качестве дополнения поставляется плагин finalToon 3.5, это полнофункциональный линейный рендерер (True Line Renderer, TLR) с непревзойдённым качеством результата и высокой скоростью визуализации сцен анимации.

finalRender 3.5 SE включает:
- все возможности и функциональность стандартной версии finalRender 3.5;
- pyroCluster 3.5 (without mental ray shaders);
- finalToon 3.5;
- бывший finalShaders (неограниченная лицензия сетевой визуализации).

finalRender 3.5 for 3ds Max 2009-2011 and 3ds Max Design 2009-2011 is offered in 2 versions: finalRender 3.5 is targeted to the mainstream user base, while finalRender 3.5 SE (Studio Edition) is the perfect choice for bigger production houses and advanced users, seeking the maximum in quality and flexibility. Both products use the same rock solid Hollywood production-proven rendering core and produce the same rendering results (when not using any of the advanced features of 3.5 SE). A complementary copy of finalToon 3.5 is included with a purchase of either finalRender 3.5 or finalRender 3.5 SE. finalToon is a full blown True Line Renderer (TLR), with unparalleled line quality and rendering speed.

With 3D Camera, developed for and first used in "Alice in Wonderland", this advanced, versatile true 3D stereo camera tool is now available to the general finalRender user.

In making the powerful and comprehensive finalToon, ScatterTool, and OceanShader tools integral parts of the new release, finalRender 3.5 offers excellent value compared with other offerings. Also, pyroCluster is now part of finalRender 3.5 SE at no extra cost.

finalToon, being a TLR (true line renderer) doesn't mean that finalToon has to replace your favorite renderer to do shading or other special effects. finalToon is implemented as a true 3ds max Render Effect, and so you can enjoy all the great benefits of such an implementation. You may adjust line styles in realtime without the need to re-render the whole scene over and over again.

All shading and rendering can be done with the production proven 3ds Max scanline renderer. When the scanline pass is done, the finalToon line renderer pops in and takes over to produce the NPR line rendering part. As mentioned before, any fully integrated 3ds Max compatible renderer can be used for the rendering and shading pass. However, when used in concert with finalRender 3.5 outline rendering becomes something else - finalToon shines at its best and shows a dramatic speed increase.

What`s new:
The widely used Global Illumination settings and Harmonics GI have been accelerated yet again, while the Harmonics GI pre-filtering algorithm and rendertime interpolation have both been optimized. Saving and loading of finalRender setting also include new controls and features. In addition, finalToon now includes standard 3ds Max Visibility Track support for fading lines in and out.
Another new feature allows the info stamp to be saved to a fR config file. GI solution options are no longer saved in these files. A rare situation involving possible light leaks in Harmonics-GI has been addressed. Handling defective mesh data in the rendering core has become significantly more stable. The shadow calculation code has been improved to avoid "terminator artifacts" and the Details Detection feature offers new "Screen Distance" modes.
